Avoid a screen heavy summer

Now that schools have dismissed for the summer a familiar, seasonal issue has popped up in media: helping kids avoid a screen-focused summer.

In 1997, the American Academy of Pediatrics launched their Media Matters campaign.  I’ve wondered how responses made at the beginning of the summer on a child’s media history form would differ from those made at the end of the summer.

The form needs updating, but it still offers a simple way to asess the role media plays in a child’s daily life. (Click link below.)
