My eyes lit up when I saw the name, Donna Sabino linked to new data. Whether at Nickelodeon, presenting at kid marketing conferences, or now at Ipsos, her research and analysis of the kid space has always been right on.
That newest data she’s generated is in the Ipsos LMX (Longitudinal Media Experience) Family study. Some tidbits:
How many 11 year old have their own mobile phone? More than half.
At what age are kids allowed to go online alone? Six years old.
In spite of age restrictions, how many kids younger than 18 visit social media sites? 25% of kids over six years of age.
With kids out of school for the summer, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of those stats see a seasonal spike.
