Where’s the toy?

When we order fast food, our grandson, Josh, always specifies that he wants a “kids’ meal with a boy toy.”

Josh would be disappointed at Jack in the Box: toys are no longer included.  However, the company does offer Chiquita Apple Bites with Caramel as a side item in combos targeted to children.

Although cynics point out that kid meals produce only a small percentage of sales at Jack in the Box, a fast feeder that targets adults, the end result is still  positive.

Two California counties already ban toys in kids’ meals that don’t meet nutritional requirements.  Similar toy bans have failed in Florida, Arizona and Nebraska.
