Sequential families

It’s true:  that gray-haired dad walking that five-year old into kindergarten really is the child’s father, not grandfather.

An entire brotherhood of dads in their 40s, 50s and 60s is emerging.  As a result, the family becomes intergenerational  immediately:  these men, who practice “serial paternity,”  might have young children, adult children and grandchildren, simultaneously.

Researchers show that although these older dads worry less about irritation issues, they are more worried something more important: staying around to see all the kids grow up.
