Scared silly?

For several weeks after Halloween last fall, our grandson repeatedly woke during the night with bad dreams.  Was four year old Josh remembering images of the skeletons and zombies that went “Boo?”

I’m not certain.

But as more of of the recent wave of horror films are released for home viewing, we need to remember it’s not only young children who might be frightened by eerie sounds and evil images.  Even tweens, who like to push the limit on scary content, can be scared by stores with psychological suspense or films with dark conclusions.

Know what’s appropriate for your child…and then stay nearby to reassure if necessary.
