Look, look. See the licensed book.

Has your child checked out a SpongeBob book or Power Rangers novel from the school library?  Although my library science professors from years ago would be shocked, school collections now include many licensed titles.

Choosing books from licensed properties can be especially motivating for reluctant readers, who will stick with reading an entire book or graphic novel if popular characters or entertainment figures drive the story.  Something to remember, if your child avoids recreational reading.
