Device distraction

Although we hear about the dangers of teens texting while driving, it’s only been recently that the dangers of device distraction by parents of young children has been documented.

Parents who text while they are with their children give a clear message to the child:  you are only half important.  Now,  child-safety experts have linked increasing injury rates to what might be described as  “half-time parents.”

Device distraction will only decrease when parents put down the phone and pay attention to their child.
