Disney “magic” grows

Although personal data collection issues are inevitable, I welcome at least one aspect of the new MyMagic+ program launching at Walt Disney World:  MagicBands will eliminate the need for the entry turnstiles.  Thanks to the wristbands, those turnstiles which clunk four-year olds in the head and trigger struggles for stroller-pushing parents, will become extinct.

The wristbands, which are equipped with radio frequency identification (RFID) chips, will function as room keys for on-site properties, parking tickets, Fast Passes and credit cards.

The program has had a low profile since being announced last fall.  Now that the spring rollout is approaching,  media coverage will pick up. For more, click link, below:
