Three a day snackers

Grazing through the kitchen is accelerating as kids settle into summer patterns.

As a result, parents are becoming more alert to the need for nutritious snacks.  After all, according to research from the US Department of Agriculture (link below) kids now average three snacks a day.

Government agency research shows comparable per portion costs when healthy snacks are served instead of traditional snacks.  Graham crackers were the cheapest snack surveyed; muffins and frozen pizza the most expensive.
