At the beginning of each new school year, there’s often one cutting edge issue that captures attention. This year, it’s Common Core.

But there’s also a school that’s attracting interest: Beaver Country Day School, a private 6-12 school in a Boston suburb.

What’s new? Students are learning coding in every class, not just math and science.

Coding is computer language – those accents and funny letters that occasionally pop up when the computer isn’t thinking straight. Parents who think Common Core is hard to understand should try coding.
