A vote for disposables

As the age of “first phone” users spirals downward into preschool and early elementary years, parents are increasingly faced with the costs of in-app purchases.  Although the cost is usually low to use real money for virtual game upgrades, those fees add up.

But scams and malicious apps, sometimes disguised as free versions of games kids want to play, are pushing more parents to give kids disposables.  Pay-as-you-go-phones allow kids to stay connected for safety, but without the potential for trouble.
