Paws help readers

Supporting kids as they work through summer reading lists can be a challenge, but some libraries have taken an innovative approach: children can sign up for reading aloud to a visiting therapy dog.

Generally, library users can sign up for 15 minute segments.

Reading aloud and being read to is valuable through the elementary years.

Look for senior communities, rehabilitation centers and nursing homes that also welcome young readers. Everybody wins!
